The students of ChristianStarAcademy decided to help InnerChurch with helping the needy this Christmas. The people at InnerChurch said that they were always low on diapers every year, so we decided to surprise them by buying baby stuff. We asked our friend, Miss Dee, to drive us to Walmart in her twelve-passenger van. When we got to Walmart, we had about $107 to spend. We started our shopping in the baby isle. We bought lots of diapers, baby lotion, baby shampoo, baby oil, and baby body wash. When we were at the self-checkout, we were five dollars short, but Miss Dee was kind enough to give us the money we needed.
Then we drove to InnerChurch to drop off the items we bought at Walmart. We went to the new InnerChurch’s thrift shop on Gambier Street. We took our items to the food pantry at the back of the shop. The people at the food pantry were thankful for our generosity.
It felt awesome to be able to help parents take great care of their babies.
